Development origin

Generally, bolts and nuts use hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion technology for corrosion protection. The industry has developed in Taiwan for more than 30 years. In the early days, most of Taiwan’s bolt products exported to foreign countries were general carriage screws and ordinary nuts.
In recent years, the technological upgrading of the bolt industry has been directed towards the development of special products such as drill tail screws and self-tapping screws with higher added value. Such products must undergo heat treatment to adjust their surface and core hardness in order to achieve their special mechanical properties. At this time, Taiwan's hot-dip galvanizing industry has not yet developed hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion technology for this type of product. Therefore, the bolt industry uses electroplating or mechanical galvanizing plus general coatings for corrosion protection.
Taiwan Plating Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully developed a new hot-dip galvanizing technology for drill tail screws and self-tapping screws. After hot-dip galvanizing, the mechanical properties of the product are consistent with electroplating or mechanical galvanizing, but the corrosion protection function exceeds that of electroplating. Or there are many mechanical galvanizing processes.
